Jackie Grabis-Bunker has an Ed.D. from the University of Maryland and has worked in the area of classroom management for the past 35 years. From 1971 to 1986, she was an elementary classroom teacher receiving first-hand experience in classroom management and discovering its importance to the success of teaching and learning.
Her experience in classroom management continued when Dr. Grabis-Bunker was appointed as Coordinator of the University of Maryland College Park (UMCP)/Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) Teacher Education Center and then later as Coordinator of Staff Development. For nearly 20 years, she taught demonstrated, coached, and supervised UMCP student teachers, CCPS first year teachers, and their mentor teachers the essentials of teaching which included classroom management. She has created classroom management materials and workshops for building administrators, and for first year or struggling teachers.
Dr. Grabis-Bunker has presented sessions at national state and local conferences. Topics of sessions include:

Currently she is Director of Program Support for Charles County and directs staff development training and follow up support to all teachers, K-12.
